Kakching, August 02 2024: As a part of the District Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan Action Plan, aq anti-drug awareness programme was conducted today by the District Administration Kakching and District Social Welfare Office, Kakching under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India at the Kakching Higher Secondary School.

During the programme, Naorem Nomita, Principal of Kakching Higher Secondary School led the pledge to make Kakching District drug free.

Speaking at the event, Yengkhom Vidyadhar Singh, Secretary SAVO, Kakching Mayai Leikai shared his insights and advised the students not to succumb to peer pressure and to refrain from using drugs and live a healthy life.

The programme was attended by Kakching District Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan Member Secretary/District Social Welfare Officer Kakching, Nikita Thangjam and S Rameshwar Singh, Senior Counsellor IRCA, Healing Point among others.

It may be noted that the District Administration Kakching and the District Social Welfare Office, Kakching had jointly launched 'Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan' signature campaign at Kakching DC office Complex on July 24, 2024 .
