Paonam Brojen PRO negates claims of misappropriation of relief items

Thoubal, August 02 2020: S Jayadeva, PRO to Tentha Assembly constituency MLA Paonam Brojen in a press release has termed the statement made by M Hemanta Singh, Chairman Covid-19 & NFSA Monitoring Foundation, which appeared in various local dailies, as baseless and politically motivated.

S Jayadeva further claimed that since the imposition of lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic, monthly 10 kgs of rice for every eligible voter, 5 kgs rice for children above the age of 5 and 1 kg pulses to every household has been ensured in the constituency.

He expressed regret that an individual is using press release 'issued from his bed' to mislead the public and urged people to verify the report on the field.
