Desks, benches distributed to 60 schools

Kakching, July 02 2019: Desks and benches of 60 schools under District Council Administration Chandel were distributed today at M/S Chaobi Saw Mill Complex, Wabagai Lamkhai, Kakching district.

The furniture were distributed under the 3rd State Finance Commission 2018-19 .

The programme organised by District Council Administration, Chandel was attended by D Ringo Lamkang, Chairman Autonomous District Council (ADC) Chandel, Ts Kanlun, Executive Member (Education), ADC, Chandel, Ksh Siddharath, Chief Executive Officer, ADC, Chandel as presidium members.

Expressing that the funds could not afford to cover all schools, D Ringo Lamkang said that the ADC Chandel will work and try its best to distribute desks and benches to the remaining schools in future.

ADC, Chandel Executive Member (Education) Ts Kanlun said that 2 schools were selected from areas under each elected members for the programme.

Two benches and two desks for each school were distributed at the event.

Head of the schools and staffs also attended the event.
