Four UG cadres arrested

Imphal, April 02 2013: Discovering the movement of UG cadres in Langjing Bazar, troops of 15 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (Shouth) launched operation and apprehended one PLA cadre today.

Identifying the apprehended cadre as No 3910 Pvt.

Paonam Manikanta Singh alias Amuyaima (24) S/o Paonam Amu Singh of Lakhinagar, a statement issued by PRO of IGAR (S) jnformed that one 9mm Pistol with magazine and three live rounds were recovered from the apprehendee who along with Recoveries was handed over to Thoubal Police Station.

Meanwhile, a combined team of Thoubal police commandos and troops of 15 AR arrested one KYKL cadre on April 1 around 2.5am while conducting a search operation at Nobrang area.

A police statement identified the KYKL cadre as Mutum Pinesh (32) s/o M Rabei of Nongbrang Makha Leikai.

Dinesh reportedly confessed to have worked under one Merajao of the outfit and involved in collection of money from Saw Mill owners and Tata Truck owners in Yairipok area, A SS Sergent Maj of the KYKL was arrested by a team of Imphal East commandos today from an Auto Parking near the main gate of JNIMS, Porompat.

, Identifying the cadre as Ahongsangbam Tomba alias Seven Kumar (30) s/o A Ibohal of Itham Wangba Leikai, a statement Issued by Imphal East SP said the cadre the joined the outfit through one (L) Dewan of Nongada and trained at Tamu, Myanmar under A No 305 in 2000.In an unrelated incident, a UNLF cadre was arrested by Thoubal police commandos on March 27 around 1.30pm while conducting frisking and checking near Pallel Police check post.

The police statement identified the UNLF cadre as Ayekpam Leishemba alias Mayokngamba alias Khaphei (26) s/o (L) A Dumbeshore Singh of Iroishemba Amukhong Leirak Mayai Leikai.
