Anal dance compt marked New Year celebration

Imphal/Chandel, January 02 2014: The pair of Hb Beshol and Rt Hringshung as well as LK Chandani and Ps Jomhring were declared joint winners of the late Ps Ningam Memorial Anal Akam Dance Competition held as part of New Year Celebration on January 1 at Oriental Academy in Chandel.

The second and third position was respectively bagged by pairs of Lk Khelthung with Wng Khitham and Hl Redeem with Lh Zakim.

Riverline Village organized the Competition which was sponsored by Kl Thumhring wife, in memory of her late husband Ps Nigam, who was the Chief of Riverline and Chairman of Chandel Ex-servicemen Association, as part of the New Year celebration.

Kl Arun and Chief of Riverline BD Thumdal presided the competition.

Speaking on the occasion, BD Thumdal stressed on the need to preserve and promote the Anal Tribe cultural dance which according to him is the identity of the Anal people.

Kl Thumhring, before giving away the prizes to the winners, thanked all the competitors and the village Authority of Riverline and the Church Board for fulfilling her wishes.
