Senapati, November 01 2024: The Village Authority Council of Liyai Khullen, Liyai Khunou and Zhaimai Union Senapati have jointly condemned the assault and robbery of two persons from the Poumai tribe allegedly perpetrated by Arambai Tenggol members at Lamshang, Imphal in the wee hours of October 31.The joint statement said that despite production of their identity proof, V Hrangao Blesson of Kodom Khullen village and Dalou of Liyai Khullen village were reportedly beaten up, emotionally harassed, looted and had their human dignity stripped off at gun point.

The villagers have appealed for justice and added that failure to deliver will invite stem agitation.
