Imphal, June 01 2022: Imphal West commando arrested one man along with 2150 cough syrup (Daslin-CD 100 ml) bottles from North AOC area last night.

According to credible sources, the consignment of cough syrup was brought by Md Ina Khan alias Abdul Manal (32), s/o Md Abdul Jabar of Khabeisoi Sabal Leikai in a car.

He was arrested along with the seized 2150 cough syrup by observing necessary formalities at around 8.30 pm and handed over to Imphal Police Station.

Reportedly, Md Ina Khan was produced before the Duty Magistrate Imphal West along with a prayer for police custody remand today.

The IO of the case said that the accused has accepted the charge levelled against him and investigation is on to arrest his associates, if any.

The Court on perusal of the case record and after hearing the submission of the IO remanded the accused to police custody till June 8 .
