Meritorious students awarded

Imphal, June 01 2014:
Academic Incentive Award Committee (AIACO), Mayang Imphal organized a prize distribution ceremony in honor of students of Mayang Imphal Kendra who secured positions and first division in the Class X & XII examination 2014 at Mayang Imphal Bazar Public Community Hall today.
The function was graced by Dr Kh Ratankumar, Works & Transport Minister as Chief Guest; K Meghachandra, Parliamentary Secretary (Minor Irrigation/IPR) as President while Vungzagin Valte, Parliamentary Secretary (CADA/Hort & Soil Conservation); Z Kikhonbou Newmai, Vice-Chairman of Hill Areas Committee and Th Rajmohon Meetei, Chairperson of Mayang Imphal Municipal Council as Guests of Honor.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ratankumar lauded AIACO for organizing such programme and stated that talented students should be further nurtured under a favorable social environment with encouragement and guideline from parents, teachers and local elders.
He also said that students need to balance their lives by maintaining decent morality, character and good health apart from basic education.
During the function, 27 students of Class X and 4 students of Class XII were awarded with cash prizes and certificates.
Meanwhile, students residing in Nambol who scored 70 percent marks and above in the Class X and XII examination 2014 were feted during the 6th Felicitation Function of HSLC & COHSEM - 2014 organized by Development & Protection, United Voluntary Organization (DPUVO) Nambol today.
The first, second and third selected winners awarded with cash prizes of Rs 5000, Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 respectively.
In similar endeavor, Life Coaching Centre, Ghari Makha Leikai felicitated its students who secured positions and letter marks in the HSLC examination 2014 conducted by BSEM by presenting cash prize and certificate today.
The function held at the hall of the Coaching Centre was attended by Konthoujam Govindas Singh, Minister of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry; Oinam Nabakishore Singh, Chief Electoral Officer and Rev Fr Jiten Hubert, principal of St Joseph School as Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honour respectively.
