Imphal, April 01 2021: A newly constructed water storage tank at Thanglongbung village of Kangpokpi district , was inaugurated by Randeep Datta (PMG) IGP CRPF.

The water storage tank was constructed under the civic action programme of the 69 Bn CRPF Mantripukhri.

Bajarang Lal CO of the 69 Bn and Thongkhojang Haokip, the village chief were attended on the inaugural function held on Tuesday this week.

The water storage tank with a capacity of 10 kilo liters was undertaken considering the acute shortage and scarcity of drinking water in the area, a statement of the CRPF said.

It added that the water is tapped from a natural spring about 1 km from the village and stored at the village to cater to the needs of the people.

This project will finally solve the problem of drinking water shortage in the village, the statement assured.

The statement credited Randeep Dutta(PMG),IGP M&N sector, Bajrang Lal, Commandant, 69 Bn Mantripukhri and Tongkhotinpao Lupheng, Assistant Commandant, F/Coy 69 Bn New Keithelmanbi Kangpokpi District for the construction of the new water storage tank.
