Ima Kombi's 9th Death Anniversary observed

Imphal, February 01, 2013: Glowing tributes were paid to human rights campaigner and social activist Ima Kombi today on the ninth death anniversary of the founder president of Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur.

The death anniversary observance function was organised by the women's body at Khoyathong Andolan Keithel wherein social activist Thounaojam Iboyaima led the gathering in offering floral tributes to the portrait of Ima Kombi.

As a part of the observance, women activists conducted social service at Khwairamband Keithel.

Speakers recounted tireless campaign of Ima Kombi for upholding human rights in the State and her vocal opposition against draconian laws.

Representatives of different civil society organisations also attended the observance.
