Thoubal, November 30 2019: International Peace University, Germany has conferred Honorary Doctorate in the field of Social Work on Moirangthem Sushilkumar Singh, s/o Late M Okendra Singh of Wangjing Bazar, Thoubal district.

The honorary doctorate degree was conferred on him for his service in rehabilitation of victims of human trafficking and mentally challenged persons in the last 10 years.

He was conferred the honorary doctorate in a convocation and award ceremony held today at Shenbaga Hotel and Convention Centre, Pondicherry.

M Sushilkumar Singh is founder of Centre for Development Activities (CDAC), Wangjing which has been working for welfare of distress women, children in need of care & protection, rescue & rehabilitation works of victims of human trafficking, rehabilitation of mentally challenged persons for the last 22 years.

He is son of late M Okendra Singh and M Binodini Devi of Wangjing Bazar, Thoubal district.
