Thoubal, December 31 2019: Sahitya Akademi and Manipur Sahitya Samiti, Thoubal jointly organised a literary forum on "Manipuri Creative Writers People and Books; Kathasandhi and Poetry Reading" at Paradise English School at Thoubal Okram.

Manipuri Language Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi New Delhi convenor, Ningmaithem Kirankumar Singh; Manipur Sahitya Samiti Thoubal president (retd Wing Commander) Akoijam Deven Singh; Eastern Regional Office, Sahitya Akademi Kolkata officer-in-charge, Mihir Kumar Sahoo as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

At the event, Kirankumar said that inculcating the habit of reading is the best habit one can have as books are filled with knowledge and helpful advice to ensure a fulfilling and meaning life.

Manipur University of Culture, Imphal, Librarian, Th Khomdon; eminent Manipuri fiction writer, Ningombam Sunita (Sahitya Academy awardee ) and renowned writer Moirangthem Rajendra Singh also attended the programme.
