Imphal, December 31 2013 : A one-day discussion programme on "United Nations' International Humanitarian Law and Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), 1958" was organized by United NGO-Mission, Manipur (UNMM) at the Conference Hall of Khuman Lampak Youth Hostel here yesterday.

The programme was attended by Lecturer of GP Women's College Dr Md Baharuddin and ex-President of AMUCO R Yangsosang as presidium members.

Executive Director of Human Rights Alert (HRA) Babloo Loitongbam spoke on the topic "International Humanitarian Law and Its Applicability to International and Non-International Armed Conflicts", while Advocate L Sevananda of HRLN spoke on "Article 21 of Indian Constitution and Its Contradiction to AFSPA" .
