New Year: Guv, CM lead in wishing people

Governor Gurbachan, Chief Minister O Ibobi and others have greeted people on the occasion of New Year's Day, 2013 .
In his New Year's greeting, Governor Gurbachan Jagat said "New Year's Day is an occasion when we make new resolutions for the coming year.
While entering 2013, we should advance keeping always our goals fixed on what we want for ourselves and for our state Manipur in the future, learning from our past experiences.
We should reaffirm our resolve to supporting the forces of harmony and solidarity irrespective of the differences of caste, creed, language and religion and fight and defeat the evil designs of destructive and divisive forces for a better Manipur and ourselves" .
Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, while wishing the people said, "New Year is an opportunity to make a beginning and renew our resolve to survive for individuals as well as collective well-being.
As we enter a new year, let us work with unity and dedication to make Manipur a more peaceful and prosperous State" .
Lok Sabha MP Dr T Meinya and Manipur People's Party (MPP) also also wished the people for a peaceful prosperous New Year, 2013 .
Lieutenant General Ranbir Singh, AVSM,SM, Director General Assam Rifles and Major General UK Gurung, YSM, IGAR (South) and all Ranks of Assam Rifles have extended warm greetings and sincere goodwill to the people of Manipur and wished everyone a very Happy New Year.
The Generals also conveys their earnest message of peace, harmony, unity and understanding on this joyous occasion.
On behalf of all ranks of 3 Corps, Lt Gen AK Sahni, SM, VSM, GOC 3 Corps, have also wished the people of Nagaland a very happy and prosperous New Year and pray to God to grant everyone that which is good for mankind.
