Imphal, December 30 2021: The All Manipur Christian Organisation has appealed for relaxation of certain restrictions imposed by the State Government as per the order issued on December 29 in consideration of the upcoming New Year's Eve and New Year Celebration 2022.In a written request submitted to the Chief Minister, All Manipur Christian Organisation stated on behalf of Christian Churches and the Christian community that huge financial and physical investment has already been made by Church members across the State in preparation of the upcoming celebration.

Further, the restrictions imposed would dampen the hope and spirit of the Christians living in Manipur, the statement added.

As such, All Manipur Christian Organisation appealed to the CM to relax some of the restrictions and allow the Christian community to partake in the New Year celebration.

The statement also ensured that all Churches will follow Covid appropriate guidelines as laid down by the Government.
