MYFA appoints new office bearers

Jiribam, October 30 2024: The Manipuri Youths' Front of Assam (MYFA) has appointed new office bearers for the 2024-2026 tenure at the 8th annual meeting of the Front held at its GHQ in Rongpur, Silchar today.

During the meeting, the former executive body was officially dissolved and a new executive body was inducted.

Notably, Thangjam Brojen was appointed as the president, Tampakmayum Salaw Uddin as the vice-president, Maibam Sabir Uddin Khan as the secretary general and Sagapam Hemoprapha as the assistant secretary general among others.

At least 14 new office bearers were appointed today.

Additionally, MYFA has resolved to observe August 29 as "Emalon Kanba Numit", celebrate the upcoming Ningol Chakkouba festival, organise annual sports meet and extend support to the proposed and impending erection of a memorial monument in honour of Manipur Levy at Chandrapur in Cachar.

Notbaly, the newly appointed MYFA president presided over the meeting.
