AJUCA, JPSA extend support to general strike

Jiribam, July 30 2018: All Jiribam United Clubs' Association (AJUCA) will endorse the 24 hr general strike called by Joint Committee of AMUCO, UCM, CCSK from the midnight of July 31 against the implementation and extension of Article 3 71 (A) in Manipur, said a statement released by N Dharmedra Meetei, secretary AJUCA, Jiribam.

The association also sought cooperation from the public to make the general strike successful while urging the State Government and District Administration of Jiribam to beef up the security measures along Assam-Jiribam border to check the infiltration of outsider which may be triggered after the announcement of NRC list today.

Meanwhile, General Secretary International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA), Jiribam Branch S Surchandra Singh conveyed that they will also support the general strike called by Joint Committee in full spirit.
