Cancer Awareness workshop held

Thoubal, December 29 2024: The Chhabi Sahayog Foundation, Manipur Prant, in collaboration with Dev Desh Pratisthan, Mumbai and Saidham Cancer Hospital, Shirdi conducted the third Cancer awareness workshop as part of its Cancer awareness workshop series today at Star Kids Center, Top Siphai.

The workshop was led by Dr Th Kamala Devi, head of the Women's Wing, Chhabi Sahayog Foundation, Manipur Prant, and a cancer warrior herself along with Dr N Premi Devi and Longjam Rebita.

The workshop was graced by Yumnam Syamkanta, founder of Star Kids center as chief guest, Tekcham Tekchamba, secretary of Top Siphai club as president and Sapam Radhe, member of Meira Paibi and W Sanjoy, member of CSF, Manipur Prant as guests of honour.

Dr Premi in her speech highlighted genetic cancer awareness and focuses on understanding how inherited genetic mutations contribute to the development of certain cancers.

The event was organized with the aim of empowering communities through knowledge and encouraging regular cancer screenings for early detection.

The initiative aligns with the tagline "We Provide Fearlessness", highlighting the commitment to instilling hope and courage in the fight against cancer.

The workshop saw enthusiastic participation from the local community.

The workshop witnessed more than 40 women and 12 men, getting valuable knowledge on early detection and prevention.
