Imphal, January 29 2015 : Martyr's Day is being observed by Government of Manipur on January 30, 2015 in remembrance of those who gave their lives for India's Freedom at the Gandhi Memorial Hall, Imphal.

To mark the day, two minute silence from 11 to 11.02 am will be observed.

Home Department, Government of Manipur, requested the citizenry of Manipur to be part of the observation.

Vehicular movements in highways and the surrounding areas will come to a standstill during the period.

Advance siren will be sounded from 10.59 to 11.00 am and will be followed by another siren from 11.02 to 11.03 as closing signal.

The function will be graced by Deputy Chief Minister as Chief Guest and other dignitaries of the State.
