RN Ravi in Kohima; meets Governor, orgns

Government of India Interlocutor for Naga peace talks RN Ravi on Wednesday called on Nagaland Governor PB Acharya at the Raj Bhavan.
The Governor congratulated Ravi for the recent peace agreement signed between NSCN (IM) and the Government of India.
PB Acharya said the Nagaland Government had requested Government of India that talks should be held with other groups with whom the Centre has entered into cease-fire agreement.
It is logical and necessary to incorporate the views of the other Naga groups in the frame work of the peace accord, the Governor said.
He had also spoken to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh even before the peace agreement with the NSCN (IM) was signed and told him that the talks should be inclusive involving all stakeholders.
The Governor expressed satisfaction that RN Ravi has been meeting civil society organisations, NGOs.
Naga Hoho, Naga Mothers Association and others including individuals whose agenda was peaceful and prosperous Nagaland.
He said "there won't be trust deficit and that, the time has come for all the people in general, including the students, youths and the mothers in particulars to usher in a peaceful and developed Nagaland.
RN Ravi arrived in Kohima for discussions with all sections of Naga civil societies and MLAs on the Naga political problem.
Ravi's visit assumes significance as this is his maiden visit to the state after the Centre and NSCN(IM) signed the Framework Agreement on August 3 in New Delhi.
The Interlocutor is reported to have met Naga Hoho and Naga Students' Federation.
On Thursday, Ravi would hold closed door meetings starting from 8.30 am with Eastern Nagaland Students' Federation, Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation, Eastern Nagaland Peoples Organisation and Naga Mothers Association.
In the evening, he would meet Forum for Naga Reconciliation, Nagaland Baptist Church Council and Nagaland GBs Federation, sources said.
Ravi would be meeting the Nagaland MLAs before leaving for Delhi on Friday.
