Senapati, April 26 2018:
The next round of tripartite talks on the district creation issue slated for April 27, Friday, has been deferred for a few days.
Sources informed Newmai News Network this evening that due to some 'exigencies' of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, the talk has been deferred.
However, it is not known whether a new date has been fixed for the next round of talk.
The last talk was held on March 23, 2018.It was the sixth round of talk.
The first round of talk was held on March 19, 2017 .
All these talks were chaired by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
It is worth noting here that the UNC had imposed economic blockade on all the National Highways which pass through Manipur for 139 days in protest against the previous State Government's (Ibobi Singh led Government) decision to create new districts.
