Imphal, March 26 2025:
In continuation of many displaced folks taking up different career paths with the help of Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board Pung Esei Jagoi Loisang, an inmate from Sajiwa Relief Camp made her debut as a Pala artiste/singer at a wedding ceremony at Lilashing Khongnangkhong, Thangmeiband.
Sanjrembam Ongbi Chanu Leima, wife of S Roshan from Ekou, is the fifth individual to adopt this traditional career path after receiving invaluable training/teachings from LSTB Pung Esei Jagoi Loisang, particularly from Oja Indira.
Previously, LSTB Pung Esei Jagoi Loisang has successfully taught and introduced four relief camp inmates from Wangkhei High School, Sawombung Relief Camp, Lamboikhongnang and Thangmeiband Relief Camp who originally hailed from Serou, Gwaltabi, Kangpokpi and Torbung into this traditional career path.
Speaking in this connection, Chanu Leima expressed her heartfelt gratitude to LSTB Pung Esei Jagoi Loisang and sought blessings to turn this artform into her lifelong career/trade.
