FESOK condemns vandalising exam centre

Federal Students' Organisation, Kangleipak (FESOK) has strongly condemned the act of vandalism committed by students of Azad Higher Secondary School on Saturday at ACME Higher Secondary School, Yairipok, which is an exam centre for the Class XII examination being conducted by COHSEM.
In a release, FESOK publicity secretary Sanasam Preety conveyed that when some teachers of ACME Higher Secondary School were contacted and enquired about the incident, they informed that a student appearing the examination created issue over strictness in the exam hall and ran out from the class room tearing the answer script.
Later, some students created ruckus and destroyed desks and benches and even pelted stones in the campus.
Four-wheeler vehicles of by teachers were damaged and innocent students injured, she added.
Stating that occurrence of such incident while efforts are being made by all concerned for smooth conduct of the examination is unfortunate, Preety urged COHSEM to find out all the offenders involved in the incident and take appropriate actions or else it will become a trend in other centres as well.
If unchecked, such incidents will also demoralise innocent students, she added.
While appealing to the state government and COHSEM for taking up necessary initiatives so as to prevent such incidents in future, Preety exhorted the people to join hands and take responsibilities for ensuring smooth conduct of the examination.
