NCC Day observed

As observed in different parts of India, 71st National Cadet Corps NCC Day was observed for Bishnupur District in a simple function organized by NCC Trp No 6 Nambol Higher Secondary School Nambol 14 (M) Bn NCC Imphal at the Auditorium Hall of the School.
The observance function was attended by CO 14 (M) Bn NCC-Imphal Lt Col Bhupendra Singh as Chief Guest, Principal Nambol Higher Secondary School S Sunilal Singh as President, State Co-ordinator NIOS New Delhi RK Bijen Singh as Special Guest while Associate NCC Officer Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School Thoubal AK Lolendro and Associate NCC Officer (ANO) Praja High School Lamsang N Lokendro attended the function as Guest of Honour.
As part of the function, certificates were distributed to 24 NCC Cadets of the school who have passed with grade A while the NCC Cadets enthralled the guests with Entertainment Show, Cultural Show and other programmes during the function.
Delivering the key note address, Associate NCC Officer (ANO) Nambol Higher Secondary School Sh Shantikumar Singh explained the true essence of observing the day which is to inculcate strong moral character, spirit of patriotism, social service, discipline and solid work ethics to the younger generations.
NCC Day was first observed on the last Sunday of November by the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in 1948, he added and expressed hope that the observance of NCC Day will strengthen the patriotic fervour and spirit of the youth.
