Seed fair and seed exchange programme

Imphal, November 25 2017:
Centre for Women and girls, Lhuannajang village, Pallel organised a seed fair for local agro-biodiversity and seed exchange programme cum livestock management training at Khopinom village, Pallel.
Numerous stalls of SHGs were opened in the event which was organised under the "Enchanting resilience of small and marginal farmers in Manipur through agro-ecological approaches" project.
It was held under the guidance of Azim Premji Philanthropic initiative (APPI) through Development and Relief Department (RNBA) .
Attending as resource persons, Assistant chief technical officer (SWCE) of KVK, Chandel, Dr K Sonamani spoke on live stock management programme while Assistant chief technical officer (Animal Science) Dr Ameeta Devi, Block mission manager of Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission, Tengnoupal block, Seigin Haokip, NERCORMP-IH Chandel Project manager Lily Rose Jajo stressed on other related different topics.
An interaction session was also conducted at the end of the event with Centre for Women and Girls (CWG) secretary Hechin Haokip as moderator.
CWG Chairperson, Themboi Haokip, staff and SHGs of Chandel and Tengnoupal took part in the event.
