DCs designated as Programme officers of MGNREGS

Imphal, September 25 2012: ALL THE District Commissioners of the State have been designated as District Programme officers for the purpose of implementation of schemes under MGNREGA in districts under their respective jurisdiction.

An order to this effect has been issued by the Additional Chief Secretary (RD&PR), Government of Manipur.

According to the order, all the DCs of the State have also been designated as ex-officio Executive Directors of the District Rural Development Agencies with immediate effect.

Moreover, the district level officers of appropriate ranks have been designated as District Programme Coordinator under MGNREGA for the implementation of the schemes in the districts.

The order further directed all the incumbent District Programme Coordinators of the districts who are currently held by MCS Grade I and MCS (JAG) to immediately hand over the charge of District Programme Coordinators of the respective districts to the Deputy Commissioners.
