Gaikhangam apologised for Victoria's misconduct

Imphal, July 25 2014 : Dy CM Gaikhangam has tendered an apology to media persons over the incident of snatching a video camera from a journalist of DI 365, a news channel based in Guwahati, and using derogatory remarks against media by MPS Officer Victoria while taking footages of the protest staged by students in connection with the demand for implementation of ILP system in the State on July 24 .

The apology from the Deputy CM came during a meeting with representatives of AMWJU this evening.

During the meeting, Gaikhangam assured the representatives of AMWJU that advices will be given to top police officers not repeat such act against media persons in future.
