MCPCR orders SNN to lift ban

Imphal, December 24, 2013: Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MCPCR) has ordered the authorities of Shishu Nishtha Niketan (SNN) to revoke the restriction imposed on students, who do not avail the registered transport service of the school, from taking admission in the coming academic session 2014-15. Talking to media persons today, the Spokesperson of Shishu Nishtha Niketan Parents'/Guardians' Association Pushpa said that some parents have approached the Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights against the notice issued by the School Principal regarding the restriction imposed on taking admission by those students who do not avail the registered transport service of the school.

The order of MCPCR is crucial in ensuring the right to education of the students, she added.
