Gaikhangam feted

Imphal, November 23 2012:
The Directorate of Tribal Affairs and Hills, Government of Manipur organized a felicitation programme in honour of Home Minister Gaikhangam on his being appointed as Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur as well, at its office here today.
Speaking at the function, Gaikhangam appealed to all the government employees of the state to perform their duties with sincerity and hard work and said "Every duty assigned to us is the gift of God and we must thank Him.
We must execute our respective duties sincerely and the blessing of success will naturally come to us" .
The Deputy Chief Minister also informed that since he is in charge of different portfolios, it is most likely that he might be quit the Presidentship of MPCC.
"As soon as, the High Command appoints another person in charge of MPCC, I will quit the post", he added.
The function was also attended by MLA T Manga Veiphei as Special Guest.
Additional Chief Secretary A Luikham, Director of Tribal Affairs and Hills Lunminthang Haokip, Deputy Director of Tribal Affairs and Hills M Radharani Devi, Under Secretary (tribal Affairs and Hills) M Kamala Devi, and other top officials of the Directorate also attended the function.
