86 Battalion CRPF distributes water storage tanks

Kangpokpi, January 23 2024: 86 Battalion CRPF conducted a civic action programme for the villagers of Laikot in Kangpokpi district today.

During the programme, water storage tanks were distributed to the needy villagers, said a press note by 86 Bn CRPF.

The programme was organised under the aegis of Akhilesh Prasad, IG Manipur and Nagaland Sector CRPF and under the supervision of Mohamand Yusuf, Commandant 86 Bn CRPF.

The Commandant 86 Bn CRPF, other officers and Chairman of Laikot village graced the occasion as the presidium members.

In line with the civic action programme, a meeting was held with the villagers of Laikot where the villagers requested the Commandant 86 Bn CRPF to provide water storage tanks to them as they are facing water shortage.

Acting on the request of the villagers, the Commandant 86 Bn CRPF took up the initiative of providing water storage tanks with an aim to address the needs of the local populace.

Addressing the gathering today, the Commandant 86 Bn CRPF expressed gratitude to the villagers for their continued support and maintained that the conduct of civic action programmes will help in creating an atmosphere of goodwill and positive relationship with the people in the village.

The Chairman and villagers of Laikot village lauded the welfare initiatives of 86 Bn CRPF and expressed belief that such initiatives will continue in future as well, added the press note.
