IFM writes to Prime Minister, Chief Minister for farmers welfare

The Irabot Foundation Manipur (IFM) has submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N Biren Singh to actualise the resolutions taken during a meeting of farmers on December 8 organised by IFM which deliberated on the issues related to agriculture in Manipur.
IFM in a press release informed that the memorandum enlisted the 18 resolutions which were taken during the farmers meeting and requested the Prime Minister and Chief Minister to actualise the said resolutions in the interest of the farmers of the State.
It may be noted that formulating a farmers' agricultural market policy in Manipur, ensuring land rights to the landless farmers, Minimum Support Price (MSP), to declare Manipur as an 'Organic State' by 2024, waive off loan for farmers, to compensate the farmers affected by COVID-19 pandemic and provide free education for the children of farmers affected by the pandemic for the year 2022 were some of the resolutions taken during the meeting.
