Labourers condemn attack on CAF&PD Labour Welfare Association advisor, cease work

Jiribam, October 22 2019: Strongly condemning the alleged attack on Hijam Kabita Chanu by S James FCI DGM, posted at FCI Regional Office, Old Assembly Road, CAF&PD Labour Welfare Association, Jiribam Branch has demanded stringent punishment to the DGM today.

Speaking to media persons CAF&PD Labour Welfare Association, Jiribam Branch gen secy Huirem Dinakumar Singh alleged that the incident was a 'life attempt' against Kabita who is an advisor of the CAF&PD Labour Welfare Association Imphal.

The FCI DGM allegedly pulled out a gun and fired at her when she was at the FCI Regional Office to submit a memorandum yesterday, said Dinakumar.

The labourers concerned of the Jiribam district will cease work from today until the DGM is punished according to law, he said.

CAF&PDLWA, Jiribam Branch president K Sarat Singh and other members were present during the press meet at Kalimai Mandir, Kalinagar, Jiribam.
