CorCom reminds Dec 31 deadline to non-locals

Imphal, October 22 2012: The Coordination Committee of seven UG groups (KCP, KYKL, PREPAK, PREPAK�Pro, RPF, UNLF & UPPK) has issued a list of people, who are rented houses and shops to Non-Manipuris, in the form of booklets which are being distributed among the people on the streets of Imphal.

Reminding the deadline of December 31, 2012 given to Non-Manipuris and people of the state who are renting houses and shops to them, the booklets containing 19 pages listed names of persons who are giving rent to Non-Manipuris.

The booklet also contains names of Non-Manipuris who have bought lands in different parts of the state.

In the booklet, there are names and addresses of 17 persons who are renting houses and shops to non-Manipuris in Khabam Lamkhai, Koirengei Keithel, Luwangshangbam Haotabi, Tingri, Ahallup and Achanbigei under Heingang Assembly Constituency.

It also mentioned the names and addresses of 36 Non-Manipuris who have bought lands and settled in Koirengei Nepali Basti (Anand Gram) and Nepali Basti.

Under Naoriya Pakhanglakpa A/C, there are names and addresses of 24 such persons in Malom Sorok Maning, Kwakeithel Mayai Leikai, Kwakeithel Makha Leikai, Malom Maning Leikai, Kwakeithel Lamlong Mari Fangba Sorok Maning, Kwakeithel, Kamong Sorokki Awang, Kwakeithel Heinou Khongnembi, Kwakeithel Maning Leikai Sorokki Makha, Kamong Mamang Leikai, Malom Sorok Maning Side, Hiyangthang Sorok Maning (Lai Makhong), Hiyangthang Makha Leikai and Hiyangthang Mayai Leikai.

Furthermore, the booklet mentioned particulars of 311 persons in Thangmeiband A/C who rented houses and shops to Non Manipuris besides 3 Non Manipuris who have bought lands and settled at Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai.

In Ward no 1 of the constituency, particulars of nine persons in Sinam Leikai, Lairenhanjaba Leikai, Maisnam Leikai and Hanjaba Leikai have been given.

In Ward No 2, particulars of 79 persons in Polem Leikai, Hijam Dewan Leikai, Lourungpurel Leikai, THYO Club Manak, Lupa Marup Manak, Khuyathong Pukhri Achouba Mapal, Lourungpurel Leikai NCC office Manak etc have been noted.

In Ward No 3, the booklet listed the particulars of 223 persons in Nagamapal Phougeisangbam Leikai, Kangjabi, Thingel, Khoirom Leikai, Kangjabi Leirak, Lamabam Leikai, Kangjabi Leirak Meinam Leikai, Takhellambam Leikai, Lalambung Ningthoujam Leikai, Lalambung Khoirom Leikai, Lalambung Makhong Naosekpham Leikai, Lalambung Makhong Seram Leirak, Lalambung Makhong, Chungkham Leirak, DM College Campus, Major Khul, Khuyathong and North AOC.
