Kangpokpi, November 21 2012:
Around 60 stranded loaded trucks crossed NH-2 with security escort today.
The trucks have been stranded at Senapati public ground for the last three days on account of the indefinite public blockade imposed by Kuki State Demand Committee along all National Highways and State Highways passing through Kuki inhabitant areas in Manipur.
The stranded trucks were finally escorted by security personnel from Senapati at around noon today.
The escorted trucks reached Kangpokpi at around 1:00pm and there was no report of any untoward incident.
Meanwhile, all traffics and govt.institutions in Kangpokpi still remain closed due to the KSDC-sponsored public blockade.
According to a reliable source, 4 trucks were severely damaged and one driver was injured at Kangpokpi yesterday, prompting a confrontation between Kangpokpi police and blockade supporters.
