IGNTUSU-RCM boycotts Entrance Test

Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Students' Union, Regional Campus Manipur on Thursday strongly condemned the policy decision of the IGNTU, Amarkantak, MP authority to reduce intake capacity in admission and announced to boycott the scheduled Entrance Test to be held on Friday (May 22) .
Hemkholen Haokip, vice President of the student union said that the decision of University Authority of IGNTU, Amarkantak, MP regarding the reduction of intake capacity in admission from 30 to 20 for the academic session 2015-16 of IGNTU-RCM is deeply disappointing and totally against the student community.
As per the academic record the number of passed out graduates every year in the State is more than the number of intake capacity both in Manipur University and IGNTU-RCM, pointed out Hemkholal Haokip while adding that Manipur Government has recently approved to set up two more universities in the State in order to solve such problems in the interest of the student community.
However, it is very much disappointing to learn that the University Authority of IGNTU, Amarkantak, MP has decided to reduce the intake capacity at this juncture which is very much discouraging, said the student union VP while adding that the decision of the varsity authority is not a sign of progress.
The students' union also said the Vice Chancellor and Director in-charge of the varsity should be held responsible for any untoward incident that occurs during the boycott of the Entrance Test.
While seeking cooperation from all, the union conveyed its regret for the inconveniences caused to the candidates of the Entrance test.
