TPR above 3 pc for three consecutive days
One dies, 75 newly infected, 35 discharged

The daily test positiv-ity rate (TPR) remains above 3 per cent for the last three days in the state as Saturday reported one death case and 75 new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 2061 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Saturday registered 3.78 per cent positivity rate, which is slightly higher from Friday's 3.21 per cent and Thursday's 3.54 per cent.
The lone death case was a resident of Imphal West district and it took the total number of fatalities to 1960 .
The victim had received both doses of Covid vaccine.
Meanwhile, the active caseload rose to 630, out of which only 49 (7.78 per cent) are in home isolation.
There is no updated information on bed availability in different hospitals and Covid care facilities.
Out of the 16 districts, only seven reported fresh Covid cases on Saturday with Imphal West still reporting highest cases at 41.In terms of positivity rate, Imphal East district recorded highest single day positivity rate at 7.3 per cent while Senapati district recorded lowest positivity rate at 0.4 per cent.
Bishnupur, Jiribam, Kakching, Kamjong, Kangpokpi, Noney, Pherzawl, Tamenglong and Tengnoupal districts did not report any new positive cases.
So far, the state has recorded 95,435 positive cases and 1586 fatalities since the beginning of the second wave of the pandemic.
The current month reported 1104 new positive cases and 39 death cases out of which 403 new cases and 14 fatalities were added in the last seven days alone.
According to official reports, the 78 new positive cases included 75 civilians (33 male & 42 female) and 3 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) whose samples were confirmed at RIMS (6), JNIMS (6) and other testing centres (66) .
The positive cases from among the general population are from Imphal East (27), Imphal West (38), Thoubal (1), Chandel(2), Churachandpur (1), Ukhrul (5) and Senapati (1).All necessary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.
In the last 24 hours, 35 patients were discharged from home isolation (3), RIMS (2), JNIMS (7) and CCCs (23) .
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,24,835 (general population - 1,20,470 and CAPF personnel - 4,365).Number of recovered cases is 1,22,245 (general population - 1,17,902 and CAPF personnel - 4,343) and number of active cases is 630 (general population - 613 and CAPF personnel - 17) .
The recovery rate is 97.93 per cent.
A total of 781 D-type and 169 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours.
In all, 6736 vaccine doses were administered on Friday and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated persons to 12,68,542 including 8,28,929 fully vaccinated individuals.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (43,667), Imphal East (27,698), Thoubal (9469), Churachandpur (10,172), Kangpokpi (2783), Tamenglong (3283), Bishnupur (9190), Senapati (2240), Ukhrul (2984), Kakching (6421), Chandel (2349), Noney (1072), Tengnoupal (1072), Jiribam (1022), Kamjong (949) and Pherzawl (464) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (653), Imphal East (466), Thoubal (176), Churachandpur (162), Kangpokpi (62), Tamenglong 14), Bishnupur (191), Senapati (10), Ukhrul (43), Kakching (113), Chandel (41), Noney (4), Tengnoupal (13), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 40,230 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 24,665 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 4,51,796 tests per million population against the national average of 4,50,812 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.57 per cent.
In the past 24 hours, only 2061 samples were tested and the single day positivity rate was 3.78 per cent per cent while the cumulative positivity came down to 8.90 per cent.
