Imphal, June 20 2019: A three day 'Laining Meepham', organised by Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board starts at Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board Haying Khongbal Uphong Yumpham Imphal yesterday.

The meeting deliberated on Sanamahi Laining Khubam, child birth, Epan Thaba, Yum Shengba, Chak-umba, Puknung Sam Kakpa, Paklei Namba, Laining Piba.

Art & Culture Minister as well as Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board president L Jayantakumar Singh, LSTB vice president Bidyapati Senjam (Wakhal Lamjingba) member, Sanasam Yaima Mangang, member Dr S Lanchenba Meetei, Moirangthem Meghachandra, Mayengbam Sanatomba attended the meeting among others.

Speaking on the occasion, L Jaynatakumar said that there are rituals and traditions which are closely knit to a human being and which identifies the origin of the person.

He added that it is rather important for all to deliberate on these small yet important aspects of life.

Maintaining that organising such philosophical discourse is the need of the hour, the Minister stated that it would immensely benefit the generations to come only when the people of this generation dig deep and provide the answer on one's own origin, way of life, rituals, traditions and culture for their understanding.

He urged all experts and intellectuals to come together and give the answers in written form to all the questions which will be later asked by the generations to come.
