Chandel, January 20 2018:
The Kapaam village authority, on behalf of Kapaam (Komlathabi) village and more than 30 villages, has sought the attention of the authorities concerned in fulfilling the requirements of the Primary Health Centre, Komlathabi.
A press release issued by the chief stated according to a application submitted by MO in-charge of PHC, Komlathabi has highlighted the necessary requirements in the hospital.
The PHC has been fully functioning 24*7 since its inauguration on July 25 2015 by rendering yeomen services to the people, the chief stated.
He added that the PHC also takes up emergency and institutional deliveries without any oxygen or ambulance facilities, which is highly risky, especially at hilly areas.
He further said officials of Medical Department led by the then Director made a surprise visit to PHC Komlathabi on August 6, 2016, in which he assured to provide an ambulance, oxygen and other necessary facilities, however, no improvements have been made till date.
It is worth mentioning that the PHC Komlathabi is the only Primary Health Centre in Chandel Sub Division which caters to other Primary Health Sub-Centres in Anal Khullen, Khudei Khunou, Tarao Laimanai, Larong, Purumtampak, Leinganching, Unapal and Paralon, he asserted.
Considering the fact that Komlathabi is the main hub for medical and educational institutions, the Kapaam village authority has urged the authorities concerned to look into the inconveniences of the locals and provide all the necessary equipment including oxygen, ambulance and other facilities so that PHC Komlathabi continues to serve the needy and destitute people of the area.
