RIMS Dental College winstop honours

Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal has announced that RIMS Dental College has been awarded the top prize at the national level in the Nanhi Muskan (Little Smile) project.
In a release, RIMS PRO informed that the prestigious recognition comes as part of a month-and-a-half-long outreach initiative organised by the Indian Society of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry.
The Nanhi Muskan project, held from July 16 to August 31, was spearheaded by the Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry.
Its mission was to empower and uplift underprivileged children through comprehensive healthcare programmes, including free dental screening and treatment.
The initiative extended its services beyond dental care to include medicine, paediatrics, eye, and ENT check-ups, it mentioned.
The release also stated that in addition to healthcare services, the project distributed free medicines, AYUSH health kits,-stationery, educational materials, and art and crafts supplies.
To nurture creativity and holistic development, activities such as art and craft classes, drawing and painting sessions, pottery workshops, and storytelling were conducted by professionals, it added.
The release further informed that the award will be presented during the inauguration ceremony of the Annual National Conference in Bangalore on September 26."We are immensely proud of our Dental College and extend our heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in this incredible achievement," it said.
