Three MLAs likely to join BJP today

BJP Manipur Pradesh has made preparations for a grand reception of some MLAs who are likely to join the party on Thursday while party's state unit president A Sharda has maintained that the party has no problem when politicians from other political parties join BJP.
A source in the BJP Manipur Pradesh informed that at least three MLAs of other parties may join BJP on Thursday and preparation to welcome them in the presence of Union minister Bhupender Yadav and party's Manipur in charge Sambit Patra has been made.
Among the MLAs likely to join BJP include Thanga AC MLA Tongbram Robindro, who was elected on the ticket of Trinamool Congress but names of other two MLAs could not be confirmed.
Confirmation would be made after Union minister Bhupender Yadav and Sambit Patra arrive here and hold a high-level meet, the source informed while refusing to divulge names of the other two MLAs.
Reception programme for MLA Robindro was scheduled for Wednesday but rescheduled to ensure participation of national leaders.
Meanwhile, N Bihari, who is a former minister and MLA from Khurai AC joined BJP on Wednesday and he was accorded a warm reception at BJP state office in the presence of state president A Sharda.
Addressing the gathering, Sharda said that BJP is gaining support from more people both from the hills and valley.
Rumour is being spread by opposition parties that there would be conflict within BJP during issuance of party tickets but all intending candidates of the party are under one family and misunderstanding occur even in a family, she said, adding that other political parties should not worry for BJP as there is no enmity within BJP.
She also expressed hope that intending candidates will support the individual who is allotted the ticket.
Expressing happiness over joining of former minister N Bihari to the party, A Sharda said that the party will emerge victorious in Khurai AC with more vote margin than in previous election.
Khurai MLA L Susindro, who also attended the reception function, said that joining of N Bihari will help in strengthening the party in Khurai AC and expressed hope that he would be re-elected with increasedmargin than the previous election.
N Bihari said that he was an executive member of Janata Dai-United state unit and worked under the command of party's national leader Nitish Kumar but decided to join BJP in appreciation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dedication towards the people of the nation.
Responding to a query, raised by media persons, A Sharda said that BJP is the largest political party in the world and more people are joining the party.
She also said that the party will field candidates in all 60 assembly constituencies of the state and expects to win more than 40 seats.
