CCpur, January 19 2020: Churachandpur Police today continued their drive against illicit substances in and around Khuga Dam, seizing nearly a hundred bottles of alcoholic drinks of different makes, reports our correspondent.

Disposing the seized items, the police reiterated that the drive was carried out to curb unwanted deaths and drowning that are often reported from the area.

A total of 32 beer cans, 42 litres of locally brewed alcohol, 9 quarter, 4 half and 6 full bottles of whisky were disposed by the police today.

It is also learnt that the police personnel conducted a drive to clean up the water supply point at Khuga Dam early today in their bid to assist in ensuring better and safer portable water for the district.
