ADC Member distributes medicines to Willong circle villages

Senapati, April 18 2020: ADC Member Rangpung John has distributed first aid kits, drugs and vitamins for elders in his 10-Willong DCC today.

Despite the spring rain and remoteness of the areas, the ADC Member travelled across different villages and delivered the items personally, stated a thankful villager who received the medicines for Sangkhumai village.

According to ADC Member John, some cases of common illness were reported during these COVID-19 lockdown and difficulties in availing medical assistance.

Considering the hardship people are facing, he personally intervened and distributed the items -medicines for fever, flu, cough, injuries and some vitamin syrups for elders.

All these medicines were procured and listed after due consultation with doctors and will be administered only by local health workers when necessary, he added.

Assuring further help, the ADC Member reminded that, amidst the present issue of COVID-19 pandemic in the country, remote villages are also facing water scarcity, lack of medical items and assistance, food items and means of transportation.

He has appealed authorities concerned to provide necessary items as assured by the State Government in view of the COVID-19, said John.
