STDCM to launch mobilisation and signature campaign

Imphal, January 17 2020: Owing to the State Government's failure to properly consider or give attention to the much needed issue of including Meitei/Meetei community in the ST list, the Scheduled Tribe Demand Committee Manipur (STDCM) has announced that it will start launching various democratic protests.

A statement issued by the secretary publicity, STDCM, conveyed that the association will also begin signature campaigns at every Leikais and the markets/keithels as well.

The association once again appealed to the people to unite and strive for the inclusion of Meitei/Meetei community in the ST list of the Constitution so as to ensure the survival of the community and its future generations.

On the other had, it reminded that the boycott upon railway construction works by STDCM is still in effect till date.
