Imphal, November 16, 2012: Ningol Chakkouba, one of the biggest festivals of the State, was organised by Jiri Development Organisation (JDO) at the premises of JIMPAL Office here on Thursday.

A large number of married sisters/daughters mostly of Kabui, Hmar, Paite, Kuki and Meitei-Pangal, have turned up for the programme with their respective traditional attire.

The programme was graced by Th Ibomcha Singh, Upaadhyaksha of Imphal East ZP; M Hemanta Singh, president of JDO and H Memma Devi, president of JIMPAL as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

L Jaminikanta Singh of Jiri College and K Subhasini Devi, adviser of JIMPAL delivered a speech at the occasion.

At the same time, Chingmi-Tammi Ningol Chakkouba was also celebrated at Ima Kondong Lairembi Haraobung, Moreh under the aegis of All Community Development Organisation, Moreh (ACODOM).

The occasion was graced by Lamboi Gangte, MDC/ Chandel; RK Sanayaima, president of ACODOM and Md Ahamed, VP of Manipuri Muslim Council, Moreh as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
