ST Paul's School celebrates Parents' Day

The Parents' Day Celebration of St Paul's High School, Liwachangning was held on Friday with cultural extravaganza at the school premises in Chandel district.
Deputy Commissioner of Chandel, Robert Singh Kshetrimayum, Commandant of 22 Assam Rifles, Colonel Anil Mathew Varghese and founder of the school, Fr KC George graced the celebration as the chief guest, guest of honour and functional president respectively.
During the programme, students of the school showcased their talents by performing spectacular choreography, skit show, modern dances and cultural dances of different communities.
Apart from poem recitation, tiny tots of the school who attired in their traditional dresses also walked on the ramp as a part of fashion show.
Besides the dignitaries, Principal of the School Fr John Bessi and president of Parents' Association also spoke during the function.
Robert Singh Kshetrimayum said that education should not be just confined to classroom teaching alone but it should also be extended in other aspects of learning the basic lessons of life too.
"The future of our society will be bright, if we provide the environment conditions for the students to grow in all aspects," he added.
The Deputy Commissioner also maintained that the kind of talents showcased by the students in a form of songs, cultural dances and fashion show of the tiny tots had shown the rich cultural heritage of the State.
And it also showed that the school is endowed with talented students who will guide the future for a better and brighter society, he added.
While lauding the young students who showcased their talents with confidence, Robert Kshetrimayum further maintained that self confidence is essential in one's life to become a successful person.
Without it, one cannot be able to achieve what he wants in his life.
"As such, we should strive hard with a self confidence to achieve our goal," said the DC.
