No fresh case in state for three days

Imphal, May 15 2022:
The state continues to witness dry spell of new Covid-19 positive cases for the last three consecutive days and active caseload remains at 8 .
There has also been no Covid-19 death for nearly three months now as the toll remains at 2120 .
In the last 24 hours, 61 samples were tested but without detection of any fresh cases or fatalities, Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people, of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
Out of the eight active cases, 3 (37.50 per cent) are in home isolation.
So far, the state has recorded 11,442 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 10 new positive cases including five in a week's time.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,230 (general population - 1,32,216 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,35,102 (general population - 1,30,095 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 8 (general population) .
The recovery rate is 98.45 per cent.
A total of 102 D-type and 2 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 350 vaccine doses administered on Saturday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,62,957, out of which 12,15,890 had received second doses and 90,778 had taken precautionary doses.
Data analysed by this daily shows that the test rate has improved to 5,19,287 tests per million population against the national average of 6,00,479 TPM while case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent and cumulative positivity rate 8.52 per cent.
