Class XI, XII exam in April; HSLC pre-board in Jan

Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) secretary Ch Biren Singh has notified students and principals/heads of institutions of higher secondary schools/colleges under the Council that the Class XI and Higher Secondary Examinations (Class XII), 2022 has been tentatively scheduled to commence from the first week of April, 2022 .
Meanwhile, the pre-board examination for HSLCE of Board of Secondary Education, Manipur will be conducted from January 19 to February 3.Announcing this in a press meet held at Manipur Press Club here on Tuesday, All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) secretary N Joykumar said that the Association has been conducting the examination for HSLCE appearing students every year since 2005 .
The examination will be held at convenient centres while observing Covid-19 SOPs laid down by the government.
Since the examination will follow all the criteria of BSEM, it will help students in preparing for their matriculation examination, he said while urging all schools for their support in ensuring smooth conduct of the examination.
The secretary further said that every HSLCE appearing student needs to appear in the examination.
Internal assessment marks for students, who do not appear in the examination, cannot be submitted to the BSEM and they will not be allowed to appear in the HSLCE 2022.Joykumar also advised all member schools to conduct the exams compulsorily and ensure participation of their respective students in the pre-board examination to avoid being barred from appearing in the HSLC Examination 2022.Students who are not attending offline classes must also submit an application to their respective principals citing reason for the same, the secretary informed.
He then appealed to the people of the state to refrain from calling bandh or blockade during the exam period.
All students should pay Rs 200 to their respective schools as examination fee for the pre-board examination.
