CRPF kick-starts Swachhata Hi Seva-2024 campaign

The 69 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Mantripukhri commandant S A Rojan Zimik under the aegis of CRPF Jharkhand Sector IGP launched Swachhata Hi Seva-2024 campaign at its headquarter on Saturday.
According to a release, 69 Bn organised an oath taking ceremony with presence of all officers, sub-ordinate officers and jawans to carry out 'Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan' as a special drive, which will continue till October 2, in their surrounding areas and all company locations of the unit to keep the area and its surrounding neat and clean.
The commandant administered the pledge oh the occasion and emphasised on devoting at least 100 hours every year that is two hours every week towards cleanliness and to inspire at least 100 people to follow it, it added.
Similarly, under the aegis of CRPF Manipur & Nagaland Sector IG Dr Vipul Kumar, CRPF Group Centre, Langjing launched Swachhata Hi Seva-2024 campaign on Saturday.
In a release, CRPF GC, Langjing DC (Adm) M Somorani Devi informed that as part of the programme, Padmashri awardee N Kunjarani Devi was felicitated by CRPF GC, Imphal DIG R Duidang.
Later, a pledge taking ceremony was held with participation of all officers and personnel of CRPF and along with a cleanliness drive, it added.
Meanwhile, 109 Bn CRPF, Mongsangei also organised Swachhata Hi Seva-2024 campaign at its unit headquarter on Saturday with participation from officer and jawans of the battalion, a release by 109 Bn CRPF said.
The programme was marked by Swachhata Hi Seva pledge faking ceremony, distribution of campaign materials, cleanliness activities in the surrounding area of Mongsangei Makha Leikai and Old Age Home, Mongsangei in collaboration with Social Welfare Youth Club (SWYC), it added.
The release also mentioned that the event was attended by 109 Bn CRPF commandant Govind Prasad Uniyal in presence of CMO (SG) Dr Th Motilal Singh, 2I/C (Adm/Ops) Anil Kumar, DC Parvinder Kaur, SWYC president Hirachandra Singh and general secretary Paikhomba Singh.
On the other hand, 143 Bn CRPF conducted an inauguration ceremony for launching of Swachhata Hi Seva-2024 mission at NG College, Imphal on Saturday, a release by 143 Bn CRPF informed.
Attending as chief guest, Arjun awardee Wushu player W Sandhyarani Devi inaugurated the mission in the presence of 143 Bn CRPF commandant Ravinder Sharma, NG College principal Ashok R C and other prominent dignitaries, social workers, students and jawans of the unit.
A pledge ceremony for Swachhata Hi Seva mission was also undertaken at the event, it stated.
