Zeliangrong Union (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) has strongly condemned the killing of Sapam Robinhood and injuring many student protesters who were staging democratic agitation on the demand for ILPS on July 8.
While sharing the pain and sorrow of the bereaved family, the ZU (AMN) urged the Government of Manipur to book the security personnel involved in the killing of Sapam Robinhood and give a befitting punishment, according to a release.
The union appealed to the people of Manipur stating that the popular demand of ILP system under the aegis of JCILPS for the protection of the indigenous people of the State has to be upheld at any cost.
The decision to withdraw MRVTMW Bill in the special House Session on July 15 should not be delayed by forming this and that committee, but should take final and concrete decision by the people's representatives, the union urged.
