Speaking to media persons, one of the meira paibi leaders pointed out that the village is surrounded by Kuki villages such as Kamuching, Kamu Tampak, Bongba Khullen and Lairok Vaiphei with a radius of one km away from the Yairipok Nungbrang.
She continued that at a time when the villagers are living in fear, the government's decision to pull out the commando teams that are protecting the village is not acceptable.
The meira paibi leader further asserted that in no condition should the state forces be withdrawn from the village and till the government sends replacement for they will not allow departure of those stationed.
She also cautioned of launching intense agitations if the government does not heed their demand.
